Documents from the mid 1700s show that the family's ancestor, GIOVANNI FOLLADOR, received by the Doge of Venice an award for the goodness of the wine given him as a gift.
This tradition has come down to GIANFRANCO FOLLADOR, a direct descendant of this long series of generations of winemakers, and founder of FOLLADOR SPUMANTI, one of the first producers of sparkling wines in the area of Valdobbiadene.
A natural vocation combined with entrepreneurial imagination enables him to take advantage of all the innovations that modern technology offers, applying this from the early stages of fermentation in autoclave by using the Martinotti-Charmat method.
