Tuscany wines

In Tuscany, wine production is centred on red wines in more than 70 percent, with 35 DOC wines and 5 DOCG ones. In most of the production, the wine strains used are Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon.

In Tuscany there are over 60 thousand hectares of land for grape-growing and approximately 2 million hectolitres of wine are produced every 6 months.

Here we can find the following wines: Chianti, Chianti Classico, Brunello di Montalsino, Rosso di Montalsino, Vino Nobile di Montepulciano, apart from the famous Supertuscan wines. We should mention that Supertuscan wines are expensive and extremely strong, for example, Sassicala, Solaia, Le Pergole Torte, and Pecarlo.

The Tuscany wines are exported worldwide, and are one of this region's ancient traditions.
