The history of the Cortes de Cima winery in Alentejo, where the excellent ] is also produced, is very curious. In 1988 Hans and Carrie Jorgense, a Danish-American couple, sailed with their sailing boat along the Portuguese coast to find a unique region for wine growing. * Finally they came across Alentejo and fell in love with this Portuguese landscape. This is the beginning of the *success story around the Cortes de Cima winery.
TASTING NOTE Chaminé 2016:
- View: deep purplish red.
- Nose: the nose with aromas of raspberry jam and violet, subtle notes of animals.
- Mouth: concentrated, features ripe berries, soft and balanced structure.
BODEGA: Cortes de Cima
GRAPES: Aragonez, Syrah, Touriga Nacional, Alicante Bouschet and Trincadeira.
PAIRING: lamb stew, crumbs and other pork dishes of Alentejo and cheese cured or semi-cured.
TEMPERATURE: 16-18 °C
ALCOHOL CONTENT: 13.5%
