Description · Saint Vivant
The recipe of the Armagnac Saint-Vivant dates back to 1559 when St. Vivant de la Salle produced his first bottle. Also, the well recognisable bottle with the crooked neck has still its original form. For the production of this Armagnac Brandy, St. Vivant uses select white wine grapes from Gascony. These are then fermented and distilled in traditional copper stills followed by the spirits' ageing in oak casks until they reach 80%. Finally, it's up to the distilling master of St. Vivant to get the smooth taste and golden colour of this Armagnac Saint-Vivant through the right blend of brandies.
TASTING NOTES: Armagnac Saint-Vivant
- Colour: Dark, golden amber colour.
- Aroma: Fine aromas of black plums.
- Taste: A generous liquor and strong, with a more pronounced flavour than Cognac.
