“The Barbaresco Pio Cesare has more than 30 months of refinements, divided in 28 months in French oak barrels (barriques for about 35% and 65% barrels from 20 to 50 hectoliters) and six months in bottle. The result is a structured and elegant wine that expresses delicate scents of flowers, such as violets, berries and sweet spices. The remarkable persistence in the mouth balmy”
“ALCOHOL:% Vol. 14, 5
TEMPERATURE: 18 -20 °.

A very classic style Barbaresco elegance and finesse, ripe and spicy fruit, mix with tannins present but not above it. Good structure and concentration. Long life.”
“Black red color with purple hues, bright in the glass. The bouquet is very spicy, complex and concentrated, it smells of ripe, dark berries, black cherries, licorice and subtle nuances of black tea and menthol. The palate is very well structured, full-bodied and soft, the tannins are finely ground and harmonize the creamy acid. It is a fantastically mature Barbaresco with very high potential, which is already wonderfully accessible now.”
“Pio Cesare Barbaresco Italy Piemonte Barbaresco 2008 Red 75Cl; A very classic Barbaresco elegant with ripe and spicy fruit great depth and complexity. The mild and ripe tannins provide this wine with gentleness and finesse but also strength and opulence. Very long ageing potential..”
“Barbaresco 2006 PIO CESARE
The family owns 70 hectares of vineyards in particularly suited exhibitions.
The official classification of the vineyards - Additional Geographical mentions - was completed in 2010 for Barolo. For the Barbaresco, however, ended in 2007. Each of the vineyards in the Barolo and Barbaresco area is proudly included in the list of "Geographical Additional Terms".
Choosing to have the vineyards located in different areas is not random. E 'in fact determined by the desire to melt and mix the different characteristics of each vineyard and each zone. This, of course, to produce wines representative of the style of all the terroirs of each denomination.

Barbaresco is a great wine in itself and should not be diminished by the nickname of "base" or "generic" only because it is not indicated on the label any vineyard or subzone.
