Prunotto Barbaresco 2001 (Nebbiolo)

Intense garnet red in colour with ruby reflections. Complex perfume of ripe fruit with hints of licorice. Full and velvety on the palate with an optimal balance between sweetness and tannin. Recommended with meat dishes and aged cheeses.

"Wonderful aromas of blackberry, mineral and dried flowers. Full-bodied, with silky tannins and loads of ripe fruit. A subtle, complex and concentrated wine. Excellent. Best after 2008."

A red Bordeaux Nebbiolo. Deep aromas of violets and menthol. A smoky touch remained in my mouth.
The Nebbiolo matches quite good with game meats.
