“A full bodied and elegant red wine from the Barolo zone in the langhe area in Piemonte made by the great Cavallotto from the tiny village Castiglione Falletto in Piemonte. The wine is made of 100% Nebbiolo grapes and originate from the Vignolo vineyard from the Bricco Boschis hill. This Barolo is a classical style Barolo. The wine is aged for more than 4 years in large Slovenian oak barrels”
“The Barolo Vignolo Reserve U originates in the Piedmont Langa, specifically from Vignolo cru site in the town of Castiglione Falletto. It consists of 100% Nebbiolo, which in this reserve is expressed to the maximum of its elegance and complexity. The soils of this vineyard are particularly whites, rich in calcium and sand. The harvest takes place in October and is followed by a long vinification carried out in the presence of indigenous yeasts. Down in Slavonian oak barrels for a period ranging from 4 to 5 years. Following another year of bottle aging before release. In view shows a nice garnet-red color. Its scent introduces the first notes of cherry and strawberry, and then give way to a distinctly spicy background. In the mouth wrapped with a thick body and a silky tannin. Good persistence. Ideal as an accompaniment to braised in Barolo.”
“A really tasteful wine of red ruby colour. The Barolo smells like cherry, licorice. A taste of nothing in particular, just wine.
I had it with cod. Very good.
The Cavallotto Barolo Vignolo Riserva is just so good.
I made an order of wine by mail.
A different wine.
