Acapulco cocktail is a drink from Mexico, with and easy home preparation that blends rum and tequila with the citrus flavours of orange. It is usually served in a tall glass or a cocktail glass with the rim previously frosted. Its orange coloured appearance reminds of the sunset from the Acapulco beaches and invites to take a moment in order to give up to enjoyment.
- 3 ounces white tequila
- 1 ½ ounces white rum
- 8 ounces orange juice
- 2 teaspoons brown sugar
- 1 orange slice
- 8 ice cubes
- Prepare the cocktail glass putting sugar in a small plate and in another small plate some orange. juice, place the rim of the glass in the juice and then in sugar for frosting.
- Place tequila, rum, orange juice and ice in a shaker.
- Stir for a few seconds and strain the result in frosted glasses.
- Garnish with a slice of orange on the rim of the glass.
