TASTING NOTES OF Castello Banfi Brunello Di Montalcino Poggio Alle Mura 2012:

- Nose: elegant aromas of plum and cherry, raspberry nice touches, blackberry and chocolate, vanilla and licorice.
- Mouth: Soft and tonic, with sweet and soft tannins.
APPELLATION: Brunello di Montalcino.
VINES: Castello Banfi
GRAPES: 100% Sangiovese.
AGEING: aged in barrels for 2 years and 12 months in bottle.
PREPARATION: fermentation in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 27-29 °C for about 12 days.

Eye-catching cherry colour with a low layer. In this Castello Banfi you can smell coffee. According to my personal opinion, it was quite flat on the palate.
