The areas of production in Valencia encompasses some 68 municipalities across the province, with three areas of great importance, the Alto Turia, Clariano and Valentino, without leaving out a very important sub-area, that of Moscatel de Valencia, mostly within Valentino. The planting density of the vineyards is not very high, between 2,000 and 2,500 vines per hectare.
