APPELLATION: Côtes de Gascogne
VINEYARD: Familles Jegerlehner & Prataviera. Their vineyards are located in the heart of Armagnac, a small county in the region of Gascony in southwestern France. It covers an area of 160 hectares and the soils are shallow and stony, rich in clay and limestone.
GRAPES: Colombard (60%), Sauvignon Blanc (20%), Gros Manseng (20%).
AGEING: At least 3 months and cement tanks or stainless steel are used. The aging is effected on its lees.
PREPARATION: The harvest is night to preserve the organoleptic qualities of the grape. It undergoes a long maceration after crushing, pressing and draining the wort. For the pressing grapes are pressed by nitrogen to preserve varietal aromas and prevent oxidation of the juices. Finally enters fermentation process at low temperatures.
WINE PAIRING: Ideal with dishes with seafood, fish or simply as an aperitif.
