Duorum 2016 (Touriga Franca, Touriga Nacional and Tinta Roriz)

TASTING NOTES:

  • View: It is deep and intense red with violet reflections.
  • Nose: is complex, intense and fresh with aromas of ripe fruits like plum, cassis and blackberry, mixed with floral notes of violet, and a touch of barrel aging.
  • Mouth: It has a balanced acidity, with firm tannins, good body and volume. elegant and long finish.

APPELLATION: Douro

VINEYARD: João Portugal Ramos. He recognized since 1980 as consultant oenologist and later, in 1990, began planting vineyards in Entremoz his first five hectares. His first vintage was made in 1992 and the construction of their winery in Vila Santa at Entremoz began in 1997. He has contributed to great national and international recognition in the evolution of the wines of Portugal.

GRAPES: Touriga Franca, Touriga Nacional and Tinta Roriz.

AGEING: the aging process takes place in French oak barrels with a capacity between 225 and 300 liters for 12 months. Their new barrels are 30% and 70% of second and third filler.

PREPARATION: vintage varietals Touriga Franca, Touriga Nacional and Tinta Roriz is performed manually and transported in boxes of 15 kilograms. After his rigorous selection and de-stemming, the grapes pressed and pushed into stainless steel tanks. It carries out its maceration at low temperatures and then subjected to fermentation at controlled temperature of 28 °C.

PAIRING: Red meats, roast beef, grilled meats and roasts pot.

RECOMMENDED SERVING TEMPERATURE: 16 - 18 °C
