“Lavradores de Feitoria (aka Feitoria) is a unique project, created on September of 2000. Resulted from the union of 15 producers, owners of 18 Farms spread throughout the best terroirs in the three sub-regions of the Douro region (Lower Corgo, Cima Corgo and Upper Douro). Nowadays the company has 48 shareholders (15 Which are of producers), and 19 Farms. Together, They have total area of vineyard of more than 600 ha.

This wine is a bright, translucent ruby red wine with a clean, fruity aroma, and notes of very ripe fruit such as dark plum and cherry traditionally associated with Douro wines. A very agreeable wine that is strong, fresh and aromatic. Fresh and fruity on the palate, with very soft, almost imperceptible tannins. Velvety and well-balanced, with a flavoursome and persistent finish.

- Winemaking: Vinification was carried out in stainless steel vats, with automatic pumping-over in wine presses. Care was taken to ensure that the unique, distinctive elements present in the skins of the very ripe grapes were transferred smoothly to the wine. After gentle crushing and complete de-stemming, fermentation took place with light homogenization, temperature control and prolonged maceration, resulting in the desired levels of aroma and phenols. The wine underwent clarification and cold stabilization before being bottled.
