“I drank it with someone special.
Cherry red colour with purple edges. This Quinta do Crasto offers predominating notes of berries and red fruits . The flavour of this makes me happy.
For the meal we had, this wasn't the proper wine.”
“Wine produced in the region of the Douro through the chaste Vinhas Velhas. It aged during 20 months in new barrels of French oak. Of violet deep, almost opaque colour, it presents a fragrance of great intensity and elegance, with predominant notes of spices, black chocolate, wild mulberries, which give it great complexity, depth and persistence. In the mouth it shows a fantastic balance, with elevated structure where predominate intense notes of wild mulberries that in the finish make remember gentle toasted notes of cocoa well integrated with very fine tannins. Its fantastic structure and persistence give to this wine an elevated potential of aging.”
“Cherry red, clean colour. Aromas of pipe tobacco. It was a little too acid for my taste, although I'm aware that taste is a matter of choice.
I decided not to pair it with any dish.
We drank a pair of bottles of Quinta do Crasto Maria Teresa 2003 with my friend.”
