Quinta do Vallado Douro
- View: It has a beautiful garnet red border purple and violet flashes.
- Nose: It has a very concentrated aroma, with intense notes of ripe red fruit, notes of violets and "Esteva".
- Mouth: Good structure with mature round tannins and long finish.
APPELLATION: O.D. Douro.VINEYARD: Quinta do Vallado.GRAPES: Touriga Franca (25%), Touriga Nacional (25%), Tinta Roriz (25%), Sousão (5%) and vineyards mixed (20%).
AGEING: 70 aged for 16 months in stainless steel tanks%. The remaining 30%, aged at 225 liters used French oak barrels (3rd and 4th year) for 16 months until the final mix.PREPARATION: The harvest was manual and the grapes are carefully selected. Fermentation took place in stainless steel tanks 10 and 5 tons for a week. All wines are fermented at a controlled temperature, ranging from 25 to 27 °C. The best wine press, a press of traditional baskets, also used for aging the final mix.
