Château Carbonnieux 2004 (Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot)

Château Carbonnieux Red - 2004

35% Merlot - 3 % Cabernet franc - 62% Cabernet Sauvignon

COLOUR: Dark ruby colour, with bright flashes.

NOSE: The nose is expressive and complex. Roasted aromas mingle with black fruit, blackcurrant, mulberry, prune, bigarreau cherry.

PALATE: Powerful, rich and full-bodied initial taste. The mellow tannins allow a powerful and aromatic wine to express itself. A fine success for the vintage.

Food and Wine pairing: red meat and foie gras.

Our suggestion: Tournedos Rossini.

We had it in the restaurant.
Cherry red colour with purple edges. It smells like wild berries. According to my personal opinion, it was quite flat on the palate.

The 2014 smells like violets. I liked it because it left my mouth a bit harsh.
One of the wines with more character of Pessac-Léognan.
