Technical sheet · Campo Alle Comete Cabernet Sauvignon
“Cabernet Sauvignon finds in Bolgheri the best cultivation conditions thanks to the different types of soil and microclimate. Precisely for this reason it has been selected as one of the three main grapes of the denomination, which when it comes to full ripeness, expresses itself with great vigor and elegance.”
“The Tuscany Cabernet Sauvignon company Campo Comets born in the vineyards located in the small town of Sughericcio, in the town of Livorno Castagneto Carducci. Field to the Comets is the first Tuscan company Feudi di San Gregorio. It is produced solely from Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, harvested and selected entirely by hand. The fermentation takes place, with skin maceration, in steel tanks for about 3 weeks. The wine is aged for six months, partly in steel and partly in oak barrels and French oak barrels new and used medium toast, and for at least 6 months in bottle before release. As a brilliant ruby red color, this Cabernet Sauvignon of the Comets Field opens to the nose with fruity and spicy notes typical of Cabernet Sauvignon. On the palate it shows pleasantly fresh and fruity, with ripe and silky tannins that give the wine a very balanced taste. Ideal in combination with typical Tuscan antipasti of cured meats and cheeses, this wine is excellent with pasta and main courses of meat and even vegetables.”
