Coto de Gomáriz 2014 (Albariño, Godello, Treixadura and Loureira)
The new 2014 vintage of Coto de Gomáriz has been in the market for few weeks and is fashionable this year: the best Ribeiro wine in value for money, according to the Guía Peñín. Also, it gets 93 points for the 2016 edition of the guide. From the winery, they value this score in a very possitive fashion and are "proud that they recognised the value of thorough work to show the world that this valley has that special magic, that soil-weather-plant-orientation mixture, unique and special in the world. That has been here for thousands of years and we have the duty to transmit this through our wines. Transforming is a gift from nature in a nectar of the Gods that is not only a job, it is an obligation and an honor."

Experts · Coto de Gomáriz 2014
Robert Parker: 93/100 (Coto de Gomáriz 2014 -1023256)They have changed the label and image for the white 2014 Coto de Gomariz, which is mainly Treixadura with some 30% between Godello, Albariño and Loureira grown on different soils, granite, schist and clay in the village of Gomariz. This is an unoaked cuvée matured in stainless steel until the following spring when it's bottled. The wine is very clean and expressive, serious, full of white flowers and with the fuller palate of the Treixadura, which gives it a great textured mouthfeel. Treixadura takes longer to ripen as it's almost a tannic white variety, with a faint bitter aftertaste. This is a structured, complex white (despite being young), able to age and able to stand to powerful food, including white meat. Great showing for this wine in 2014. 50,000 bottles produced.
