Carmes de Rieussec 2010

  • 4 /5
The second wine of Château Rieussec is selected from the same standards as the first wine. Permanent characteristic is a good aromatic amplitude with a pallet of dominant citrus. The name refers to the Carmes de Rieussec monks of the Carmelites of Langon, owners of the Rieussec estate in the eighteenth century. The attack is delicate, followed by a nice rise on fresh pineapple notes. The mouth is full and the molten wood. The final, balanced and tense, offers a long persistence. ASSOCIATED GRAPES IN WINE: 80 to 90% Semillon, 10 to 20% Sauvignon and Muscadelle DURATION OF AGING IN BARRELS OAK: 18 months in barrels
