Château d'Yquem 1996

The pleasure derived from tasting of Yquem is a difficult feeling to express. Yquem is harmony in the complexity of flavors and aromas, a harmony that evolves, whose constituents are based to give birth to other balances, new harmonies over time. The impression left by tasting remember the quote from Frederic Dard 'silence following Mozart is still Mozart. " After tasting, the Yquem household now that is still Yquem. It is also a nice phrase to describe a wine that has a very long finish: they say he made the peacock's tail.
It is always difficult to accurately describe the perceptions experienced during the tasting of a wine. The sight, smell, taste and touch are asked almost simultaneously. We can name the scents and aromas of the wine of Yquem, seeking to define its complexity, but never really managing to describe the essence, to pierce the mystery.
