“One of the most full-bodied rose's, Tavel is primarily based on Grenache. It's full body and mellow mouthfeel make it an ideal companion to turkey or ham. The bouquet reminds of strawberry and cassis with notes of herbs and "garrigue" (the smell of herbs/underbrush/citrus that dominates the air in the south of France).
"A delicate coppery pink rosé that's exuberantly spicy, with crunchy redcurrant fruit. A mineral twist unfolds onto biscuit and peppery flavours. There's pleasant tannins on the finish and the concentration to improve over a few months." Drink 2016-2017. Score 90. (2015 vintage) - Decanter Magazine September 2017”

“This rosé Tavel appellation is characterized by a color of a soft pure pink. The dominant aromas are complex, red fruits and white fruits combine with floral notes. Over time these aromas evolve towards more balanced soft, with spicy touches and stone fruit, while the color is adorned with amber highlights. If you have never tasted Tavel, Lafond area makes it a very good example.”
