Verdelho 10 Years Blandy's 50cl (Verdelho)

TASTING NOTES:

  • View: clear and bright topaz, I goldtone to the brim.
  • Nose: fresh and fragrant bouquet of dried fruit, spices, warm orange aromas.
  • Mouth: dry and body, concentrated and fresh medium, a pleasant sweet and sour sour edge, finally balanced acidity. Long and persistent exotic fruit with spicy nuances.

APPELLATION: Madeira.

VINES: Blandy's Madeira

GRAPES: Verdelho.

AGEING: aged for 10 years in American oak casks in the traditional 'Canteiro' system

ELABORATION subjected to fermentation on the skins with natural yeast at temperatures between 18 °C and 21 °C in stainless steel tanks with controlled temperature. After about 4 days, completion of fortification liquor, with halting the fermentation at the desired degree of sweetness.

PAIRING: as an aperitif, extremely good with soups, feathered game and pâté.

TEMPERATURE: 10-16ºC
