The bitter sweet aperitif has been produced in the province of Milan for 150 years, following a secret recipe. It is flavoured with 68 different fruits, herbs and spices, including cinchona, rhubarb, ginseng, and the peel of bitter oranges and aromatic herbs, which are combined and macerated in a blend of pure water and spirit for a couple of weeks. The resulting mixture is sweetened with sugar and tinted red.
With its vibrant red colour, intense aroma and inspiring flavour, Campari has been a symbol of intrigue and pleasure for 150 years.
