, also called albán, albar, jerez, jerez fina, listán blanca, palomino de Jerez, palomino fino and tempranilla blanca, to name a few, is a highly productive variety with large bunches, which produce oval, medium-sized grapes with thin skin and a golden colour. It makes generous wines with little body and a yellow-green colour, such as the fine wines, the oloroso wines and the amontillado. It is grown mainly in Jerez, and is used to complement other varieties in regions such as the Canary Islands, Cantabria, Castilla y León and Galicia, also being part of innumerable denominations of origin. Outside Spain, it is also found in South Africa.
